Another Valen-BirthDay Came and Went

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY and.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Chandler Baby, 26! Eeew that's old!

Okay so kinda just another day unfortunately... The first half anyway! We went to lunch with my dad to one of our favorite places- Blue Hawaii for Acai Bowls
then put him on the plane that afternoon ;( pouty face..sad to see him leave... it was on to the next thing for us. We went home and cleaned our house and I think I did 9 loads of laundry. How does that even fit in our apt?
So I had these elaborate scavenger hunting spots to go to but it didn't work out how I wanted.. but I did still send Chan all over the place anyway for 16+ different clues. He was supposed to end up at my spa for a little relaxing treatment for his birthday ;) But we were BOOKed at the spa so he just got a 100.00 gift card instead!

Here he was trying to figure out the next clue...
Its a good thing these pictures aren't readable (and I never know whose gonna judge me from off my blog so gotta make some things private ;) )
and of course what is a Love day without some beautiful flowers with aromas that filled the humid fresh air? My babe gets ME flowers on HIS birthday? How sweet! Love him!
Okay but really...We had a great day we managed to get the Dad on the plane, have an alone afternoon break from a week of visitors for the next entourage to arrive the following morning. We didn't celebrate much of his birthday or Vday, nor have we ever any year because we have had visitors in Hawaii visiting us for the past THREE years on Valentines day/Chandler's Birthday. But thats okay we try to celebrate birthday day's all week long. We definitely got spoiled and played.
But I gotta brag...I have the best hubby...yep the best one ever......yeah its a true story gals, sorry I gottum! Im grateful I get to celebrate his birthday with him. Everyday is so fun, we are having so much fun still here in Hawaii together. Im happy that I get to spend each day with him and continue to celebrate this birthday of his with him for years to come. He's an amazing person- he continues to blow me away. He is working so hard at his job, his manager, boss, and bosses boss LOVE him- literally, its unbelievable the respect they have for him, the things they ask him to do, to be a apart of, the projects they put him in charge of. He has already proven to all of them what he is capable of...( does this mean we are staying here long time? Mmm who knows;) ) He is plugging away with his MBA in the night program..Wow! The projects he produces there too...his professors are definitely pleased with him..and thats an understatement..this hubby ...I tell you...is Superman. Its weird. I Like it. A lot. He's just rocking it right now. Its really hard to explain to you how ethical he is, hard working, intelligent, fun, happy(he's always happy, I don't think Ive ever seen a different mood in him), motivated, sweet, loving, caring, responsible, organized, understanding, forgiving, and so good to me. I honestly don't know anyone else like him. Any who thats a brief update on how awesome he is. I dedicate this to you babe! HA! Love you so much!

Visit from my Fam

I would like to think that my brother comes to visit Chandler and I but he comes for a golf tournament every year. It seems like I was just barely blogging about Jerrel being here. This year sure has flown by. For Christmas all of us kids bought my dad a trip to Hawaii so he used his ticket to come when Jerrel was here so he could watch him in his tournament.
We went and did this hike called the pill boxes- we couldn't do too much of physical stuff because Jerrel had to walk the course so we took it easy. I don't know why my camera on my cell phone sometimes trips out so these photos look like negatives. This hike goes along the Lani Kai ridge and looks over the beach.
Jerrel messing around on this little tree on a very steep hill...and yes he did fall!

We went to Waimanalo beach-aways my fav!

And now for the tournament! A lot of this post will be repetitive from last year... He plays at a club called The Pearl and it over looks Pearl Harbor. Its a beautiful course, very hilly- up and down. He golfs it for three days- two days to qualify and then the 3rd day is finals. He did make the cut so we walked ALL THREE DAYS! Here was his first tee off..

Chandler and I early morning at the club house waiting for his tee time

TWO OF THE BEST looking men I know!
Chandler was smiling ear to ear because he got to caddy for him. He purely enjoyed it. He said he learned so much and had a great time being able to chat here and there with Jerrel. My dad and I were right along them in the gallery with others walking along watching. I honestly had a BLAST following him, it is so fun to me. The game is so quiet, relaxing, professional, and long. I never care for the game of golf on TV but we all know sports is more exciting when you know someone playing in the game and in person.
Jerrel doesn't think he did very good so he got a little pissed in the moment, but he still made money! And we were enjoying ourselves watching him.
The course was beautiful! The colors were awesome but- my cell phone is just not cuttin it anymore
What a great looking swing he's got!

I was pretending to caddy for him...ya it wasn't happening. His bag was so heavy! Jerrel is sponsored by Oakley and he can get anything and everything from them..You bet I gave him a list of stuff I want ( I also stole these Oakley glasses of his)

This was his last day in the tournament
If they got a hole in one on this hole they won the car...ya right

Chandler and my Dad got to play Ko 'Olina one day ( the nicest and most expensive) on the island. Jerrel was doing a practice run at the Pearl before the tourney and than we were waiting for them at Ko' Olina beach to finish up. Just chillin

I am sad I didn't take any other pictures while they were here .his was the dad my dad flew out (valentines day-Chandlers Birthday) We went and ate at Blue Hawaii one of our most favorite for Acai Bowl and Panini Sandwiches..
Ergh so blurry...my dad and I kept laughing we couldn't get a good photos and hold still
It was so fun having them here and stay with us. It was go go go with work, school, more work, golf, Valentines day and a Birthday and the next day Chandler's family flew in for a week!

LDS Prom

Chandler and I were chaperones for multi-stakes LDS prom. They do not mess around here for giving these kids a real Prom..I think it might have been better then my high school proms! We had the biggest youth group with our ward. We had 27 (two which were non-member friends) We have Amazing youth! Heres a few

And Chandler and I walking in
It was held in Kaneohe..the other side of the island..Always so beautiful!
A friend of ours Kiana(on left-such a gorgeous girl) and a few girls from her ward
The decor was great!

All danced out at the end of the night
What a fun night! Our bishop said that Prom costs too much money so that the stakes don't want to do it anymore especially because not all wards participate..but out Bishop is going to try to do everything he can to keep it going ;)

Baby Shower

I asked a friend in my ward at 8 1/2 mos pregnant if anyone had given her a baby shower ... and no one had so I knew I had to whip one together! I quickly sent out an Evite to maybe 10 people. When 6 people had confirmed I knew I would be safe to hold the party in my teeny tiny ittie bitty
apartment. Then so and so brought so and so..and I ended up with 12-15 people. IT WAS CROWDED! Nice, warm and cozy- up close and personal party! Ha! The more gals we had the better! It was fun! I had been cooking all day- thanks to Pinterest we had yummy slow cooked shredded chicken tacos with all the toppings! Homemade chips, Cookies and rubber ducky pine apple sorbet punch!

Ellen

Melissa brought mini cupcakes, Kellie brought amazing sugar cookies, and thanks to Nancy for the cupcakes, and Dalein for a few extra sides and Roxy for helping set up!

The party started to disintegrate and we had to catch a group picture!

Thank you so much to everyone who came!
The funniest part about the whole thing was the party was on Wednesday night and the night before (Tues) I texted Ellen and I told her she better take it easy and that Baby Brian could not come until at least after this party was done and over with. I told her he can come anytime after 8:30 pm on Wednesday as long as we get the party done with! Everyone had left my apartment except for Sunny and Ellen and as we were walking out of my apt with our hands full of her gifts to take them down to the car HER WATER BROKE on my porch! It was perfect timing! It was around 9pm! That night Chandler and I spent the night at their house with Anna so she could go to the hospital. He IS SO BEAUTIFUl- like honestly he has the most perfect flawless face! Fun and very eventful night! Phew- we're safe! I was really pushing that shower close!

girls week!

Ergh! Blogger's buggin! I can't seem to manage my dashboard or posts! (my pictures are all out of order)

I got to do better about taking pictures with my camera not my cell phone...

Three weeks ago some friends that used to live in Hawaii came to visit for a week. Dana and Amber came out together to stay with Olya. Olya had that last week to pack up her apartment, entertain and hang out with all us girls before she was off to 5 different states for 7 different job interviews. We played and played some more but wish I could have played even longer! I don't think I have laughed as hard as I did that week in a LONG time. We had a great time. This was one night for dinner we went to ShoreBird, a fun restaurant on the beach and watched the sunset! It was Dana's birthday while she was here!
The group!

Volleyball at Waimanalo! Always my fav!
International Market place! Now this day was hilarious! We saw some very interesting things in the shops! Oh how fun that was! Thanks girls for a fun time even though you made me feel like tourists ;)
Dana and I getting a pedicure! It sucked haha!
At dinner again, Olya and Anne!

Kinda a cool picture of Diamond Head I thought
Amber and I
Olya and I
Such a good week! Wish we got to play more! I miss Dana and Amber tons but seriously like Olya had to move too ;( Ive been so sad! She has so many job offers- she is now in DC and will take a job at BYU in Utah and then she will decide where she will go permanently. Oh how Im going to miss her like crazy!

Down time

I am sooo behind on things I wanted to post so I will just have to do a few at a time. This was shortly after we came home from Utah from Christmas break. It was so nice to be home with families- we had a wonderful time. I was so happy that I didn't have to freeze my butt off in Utah (now they are getting all the snow) but I was still happy to come back to Hawaii by ourselves to 80+ degree weather. I still did not have to go back to school for a week or two after our trip so we got to relax! This day we just got our normal routine shaved ice from Shimazu's and went to the beach1
