Spring Break 2012

Spring break! Agh! I can breathe! Just ONE more month of school! A few months ago I checked flight prices from Vegas to Oahu for my Spring Break for my parents and saw that they were 400 bucks round trip. I called my Stepdad, Kenneth and told them they needed to come! He booked the flights that night! So I had been looking forward to them coming out here for a few weeks now! When we get visitors we do the SAME stuff every time. Or we find something new to do with one group of visitors and we want the next group to see it too! I'm okay with that though I love it!
The day they flew in(5am) we went to Sea Life park! I could go there everyday! I LOVE dolphins! They are such an interesting creature to me!
The show was way fun! Videos below!

This dolphin behind me was blowing circular bubbles

After we went to dinner to one of my favs..I knew my parents would love it... Haliewa Joes..The tree house restaurant. Never fails with the view!
We went and spent the day out at Ko Olina and went to the Aulani Disney Resort. We had a great time visiting with Chans Boss Mark and his wife Bonnie.(my moms good friends)
Of course had to get shaved ice!
Went to Lani Kai Beach- unloaded all the beach towels on my mom. We haven't been to Lani Kai is a few months. This beach is Stunning. Such a perfect day!

I Love this guy for some reason- lots! : )
My mom and I went shopping while the guys did their thing..We were at Neiman Marcus here and they had this decor feature thing with thousands of mirrors and butterflies- it was way cool!
Ha! That was the most exciting thing for us in that store!
We went to my other Fav restaurant. Maharani's! Indian food! Our new FAVORITE food!
We went to the zoo..
This hippo was right on the glass..weird-gross- it had like 10 hairs coming out of one follicle on its face!
giraffe's are some of my fav's too
Poor Violet the orangutan-she looked so sad
Resting with my beautiful mother!
Hanging out

We also did the submarine again! Thats so amusing to me too! Love it! We are so lucky to live in such a tropical warm place!

Here are some videos from Sea Life Park! This first video was awesome but I was too zoomed in so you can't see what the trainer did with the dolphin but they both came out of the water and both did back flips SO HIGH! e.n.j.o.y. (the last video is a good one!)

We had such a pleasant time with my parents here. We relaxed a lot and went with the flow. We did a lot, a lot of talking and catching up. It was so chill and so wonderful for me to have them here. Like I always say when I have visitors its what keeps me sane and able to stay here (so far from fan and friends.) Come again soon! As of now..we have no visitors planned to come. Lets us know whose next!?

KONY 2012

After my wonderful day in paradise post to this it definitely went from heaven to hell real quick. Sorry. WOW! Im not one to really share videos or repost something to spred the word, but this hit me hard! I have heard all this talk about Kony 2012 lately, but I had no idea what is was... Then I found this... Please take the time to watch the video and TRI to help out. It goes by very fast and you won't regret it! And it would be nice to see the American people also give credit to Pres. Obama for the good he DOES do! TRI has his signature and support for this movement!

Stuff like this...has my support for war. I can't believe I would ever say that. I usually think America should stay out of a lot of things we get involved in that I think is unnecessary in other countries. But my mind has been opened. (You will want to pause my music at the bottom of the blog to watch this video)

Just another day in Paradise

Our Saturday St. Patty's day started out by making breakfast and then preparing to go to Laie to visit the temple. I was in Chandler's room steaming my dress and Chandler opens his closet nice and wide and doesn't even see what the Leprechaun left him. He was too busy standing to close looking up at all his shirts. I said to him, "what shoes you going to wear?" He said to me "why would you even ask that I don't even know what pants or shirt Im going to wear!" HA! Okay never mind then! I got the biggest smile on my face and he was so confused. He finally looks down at his shoes and was speechless and starring at this pot of gold for like 5 minutes. He wasn't expecting it. It was just kinda fun and cute. He said, "since we did we celebrate St. Patricks Day?!" .... Any reason to give gifts and write sweet nothings in a card, I'm all over it!We are cruising the back roads along the beach to Laie!

BeaUtiful! Wow I live here? Yes! I do still have to ask myself that!
PeAceful!
Gotta Love the wind! Ha! It does wonders for my legs! NOT!

I was thinking we were going straight to the beach after the temple up to Waiamea. So I took temple clothes and beach clothes...I scrounged up something in the car to play golf in...
We went out to Ko Olina where our friend is the Golf Pro.(we met him and his wife thru my bro Jerrel)So I look like a dork to say the least. I wish I had the proper clothes. Justin hooks it up for us! He gave me an hour and a half one on one lesson with these women's clubs we are looking to buy.
It felt so nice to swing the driver and have it Kill the ball! I was in heaven! Justin was so great to help me with the fundamentals of my posture, swing, and where to direct the ball! Check out the flex in the shaft? He said I have a strong swing ;) Justin was blown away by my golf skills ;) Come' on I don't have a pro golfer as a brother for nothing! He said there is no reason why I shouldn't be out at Ko Olina weekly for a round of golf! Sounds good to me!

Such a great day!! We went over to Justin and Donna's house afterwards then we all went to dinner!
Oh and don't worry, I couldn't walk, talk, move, cough, reach or do anything for two days after swinging that club! My back was killing me! Every little muscle in my back that I haven't used in years got used that day!

Here's a sneak peak...I am just now slowly getting some of these photos back, but when we were home for Christmas we got family pictures taken! It was a fun day and funny! Surprisingly it wasn't miserably cold! Just a lil cold. Candice did a wonderful job and can't wait to see more even though its Spring now ;)

Whats up with the sons marrying blondes? We don't fit in..haha it makes us pop out! I guess Meag has to marry a blondie ;)
I am grateful to be apart of a beautiful and wonderful family! Im so lucky!

I love these women in my life!

The Pearson Clan

We have been go go go with visitors and there are more coming! But for now, ill post about Dennis, Kaylene, and Meagan being here! We are always so spoiled when visitors come to town because we get to do all the fun tourist things on the island! When they landed one of the first things we did was go look at the whales on the east side of the island. We pulled off the road at a watching point and we saw a whale breech. It was a really neat sight! That might be one of the first times I've seen and watched the whole whale come out of the water and dive! We saw lots of spouts and tales too!

We took a little ride on this Na Hoku II right out of Waikiki. Meagan and I worked our beauty magic with the Catamaran beach boys for a discount and got right on board!

Here is a view of my work from the ocean side..Sheraton on the L and pink Royal Hawaiian on the R. The water was beautiful!
The waves were GYnormious. I felt like I was on a roller coaster ride the catamaran was going UP and DOWN these rollers that were bigger than the boat..I was holding on for dear life thinking the boat was going to be swallowed up by the waves.
It was so fun, when we very first were heading out we saw a big pod of dolphins. There were mama dolphins jumping out of the water like crazy and even baby dolphins..I saw a baby jump out that was probably two feet long. So stinking cute.
None of my other pictures turned out really because it was so windy while we were out on the water.
Another beach day and hanging out...

We were getting ready to go on a submarine
This is probably one of the more fascinating things I've done in my life. It doesn't take much to amuse me tho...I fly and I am blown away (ha literally and mentally) with technology so getting on the Sub I was like a lil school girl all giddy.

Loadin up

And we are sinking.... Its so crazy how colors change under water and especially how red completely disappears and is none existent . Meag and I

Our tour guy narrator was great, he was hilarious. I was in heaven soaking this all up and again, giddy as could be thinking this was all our first time and I'm estatic about "look at that, look at this, oh my gosh I love this, Oooh oh look, wow I seriously love this, this is amazing, wow!" And no one else was saying anything...When we got off the Sub after I was the only one acting giddy...come to find out Chan, Meag, Kaylene, and Dennis had all been on a submarine before..it was nothing knew to them. It was funny you had to be there...

Family of Sting rays and a crashed airplane..like a big plane too...( they used this as a filming site for the series LOST and for filming a specific scene of dead bodies around the plane...the next day they didn't clean up the props from the scene and didn't tell the submarine company so when the sub went down and saw these bodies it was interesting for them to say the least)
We went down 105ft deep. a.m.a.z.i.n.g!
Our pilot
The submarine going down
and down some more

We went over to our friends house in Waimanalo and played volleyball and BBQed after

We went over to our other friends house in Manoa valley and had dinner
Their view is breath taking

We went to Sealife Park (a mini Seaworld) this was fun too!

We saw the worlds only WOLPHIN (yes a real whale and a dolphin mix!) It was pretty neat!

We got to go see Neil Diamond in concert here too! That was a blast..Im trying to upload a few videos but its not letting me... Usually when we go places I often feel too old or like I'm the oldest one is the crowd... Yeah well this time I felt so young..It was good to feel young. Lots of people in their 50s but it was still a great time!

Kaylene's second time seeing him in concert- she loves him! All us kids grew up listening to his music though!

I was just a tad sad..the ONE song I was wanting to hear so bad was 'Desiree' and he didn't sing it!

It was so great having them all here again! We are so lucky to have so many visitors come and see us! We are loved! Being able to go home a few times a year and have visitors a few times a year is what keeps me 'good' with living here ;) Thanks everybody for everything. Love you all!
