J.P.A. 2-14-11

When Chandler and I found out that my sister was pregnant... we both said it would be a boy (just because she always thought she would have a girl first, and we have lots of nieces already). We both told her he would come late and on Chandler's birthday (v-day). And that he would be tiny! HA! Its a BOY and he was born on V-day, and he was 6 lbs .15 oz! And he is PERFECT! His little features are adorable!

Here is baby Janson
A day old

about a week old

about two weeks oldIt kills me to not be in Utah at this time. It is so dang hard to be all the way in Hawaii and I haven't met him yet ;( I'm patiently waiting to find a flight home to hug and cuddle on him!

B-day | V-day

I have no other excuse other than being busy for not blogging. Unfortunately we did not do too much for Valentines day or for Chandler's Birthday (on Vday). My brother was here in town still and it was just a crazy day for all. Chan had school and I took the day off work to hang out. Thats all I wanted for Vday was a day off work. When Chandler was finished with school we went to one of our favorite beaches Waimanalo and Chandler napped under the umbrella while Jerrel and I played in the 83* water. I have to admit I have not played like that in the waves ever before but it was a blast to body surf. We did get the crap beat out of us and I think I found sand on my scalp for about three days after that! lol! Poor Chan is still dealing with this broken foot. He gets the cast off in 6 days! That evening we went to Dave N Busters with some friends. Thanks Brint and Brea! Had some din din and played some arcade games...

Jerrel and Chan racing! It was a fun chill day. Chandler and I keep telling each other we need to celebrate Valentines Day. We still haven't done much. Oh well. Everyday is Valentines day for us out here together!
Chandler's Family and I went in on a gift together for Chandler. He has been wanting the Ipad for awhile now. He finally has one! He was surprised! He loves it! probably a lil too much! I can hardly keep him off it ;) Its a pretty fun little gadget!
Happy 25th Birthday Baby! I Love you!

Pearl Country Club hosts' The Hawaii Pearl Open and my brother Jerrel has always been invited to play in the tournament. So Jerrel came out and stayed with us. His excuse to come see us is always for a tournament... He has been out three times- all for golf! I like to believe it's because he wants to stay with us! ;) He played decently well. The tournaments' first round got rained out and so it was cancelled completely for the first day. So the second day he shot a 73 which allowed him to make to cut for the finals. On the final day we went and followed him around and spectated him on all 18 holes. I loved it! We weren't quite sure how Chan was going to get around 18 but it worked out to wear he got to ride with another golfer! And I had an Official drive me around (a friend of ours who was working the tournament anyway)

Here is J on the first hole
This course was amazing! This panoramic picture I took barely even shows the course and it all looks like it runs together anyway! On these upper holes on the back 9 over look Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial- pretty neat!

And here we are on the 9th hole!

It was a good time! Unfortunately Jerrel didn't play his best game. He was making killer shots down the fairway but was struggling on this weird grass out here in Hawaii for his putts! Oh well! We still had a great time and played a lot while he was here!

Jus livin Life with our Hawaiian Ohana

We got a couple of camera's for Christmas...Apparently a few people knew I would need two because I go through them like water? ha! We haven't been up to a whole lot we are still patiently waiting for Chandler's foot to be miraculously healed ;)

We went to the University of Hawaii vs. Utah State Basketball game with our friends. The game was crazy. I usually cheer for UH but sense my home state was here- of course I wanted Utah to win! The gym was very loud and crazy. The game went into double over-time and Utah came out with the win!
This is the gym at the Stan Sherriff Center at UH- ITS HUGE

Brea and I

Relaxing at the Beach any chance we can get!

Went out to dinner and ate yummy food!

Little later into our dinner Gayna and Dom met up with us. Gayna was heading back to Australia the next day so I was sad. She is obviously gone now and I miss her already! She come to the USA for three months and her time her always flies by! Good thing we have Skype now-a-days! She will be back in November!

My poor hubby ;(

Okay the scoop is... We went to a Foot specialist here in Hawaii and we didn't like what we heard but it was reality.. we wanted to get a second opinion on Chandler's foot just to play it safe from a doctor up at the U of U. The Doctor at the U said almost the same thing the Dr. here in Honolulu said. Its a good thing to have two of the same diagnosis but not so good in what they had to say ;( So ever since The Maui Invitational (Nov.) So about three months total my husband has been frustrated with dealing with this bad foot. Three months- that's a LONG time to only be walking on your right foot... and its not over yet. Basically his Navicular bone (in his foot-ankle area) is broken in 5 places. Its a bone that already receives little blood supply- it's shattered. The Dr.'s say it may NEVER heal. Worst case he may never play college ball again. But we are being positive!! First thing they are trying..they have him in a cast for 8 weeks.. It may not work to heal the bone but we are being hopeful and have much faith it will work! We want to avoid surgery at all costs. But Dr.'s may want to do surgery to try to fuse the bone if the casting doesn't give the result they want... the reason in wanting to avoid surgery altogether is because since it receives little blood supply as is they don't want to go in there and mess with the bone and possibly damage all blood supply entirely. We are being patient and waiting to see if this cast has made a difference. Chandler is unsure how he broke the bone, but the show of Xrays the Dr.'s are saying its an old brake. it could be from a yr ago or longer. It has been a HUGE humbling experience for Chandler. Any of you that know Chan at all know that he is so Independent, athletic, and always helping others. This cast has taken all that away temporary. He is very dependent on me and his team mates- classmates, He is on crutches 24-7 so of course absolutely no sports- ;( no more ball for him his senior year. (A HUGE CRUSHER), and he is unable to serve others at this time. Trust me Ill be the first to admit that one. I'm the man of the house- literally. I have been doing so much and working two jobs. Its taking a toll on me too. But I'm okay to do it! I know he would do the same for me in an instant- and will when Im preg ;) I feel so dang bad. Its been a trial for the both of us. But we have one month down and one more to go with this cast on, then he goes to a boot, PT, and slowly will start athletically using it again. In all this time Ive been married to Chan I have rarely seen him mad, frustrated, upset. He is trying to be such a good sport but I can tell its getting to him (especially after a few scary falls- for once in his life he isn't graceful..shhh). I am so glad I can be here for him. He is done playing ball but he is still the captain of his Bball team, so he attends all practices', film, the meetings, weights. etc. He is actually trying to get this year as a Medical Red Shirt- so far it's looking good. He will maybe get to play next year and his scholarship next year will pay for his Master's Degree! I tell him I am so so sorry he is going through this but I really think its meant to be- to teach us patience, and make us take a step back, slow down, and that he is meant to continue school. We would have not paid for the MBA on our own so its good the scholarship will continue! We were only planning on being out here for two years. Well looks like it will be 3 all in all. The Dean of the Masters program see's that he is such a phenomenal student and will let him finish his Master's in one year- take more classes in one term than than the average student. Usually it takes at least two years with Chaminade University's program- but they know he will do just fine next year to complete it in a timely and efficient manner. He is taking 25+ credits or something this semester- he's crazy! But he will have his Bachelors degree in 3 months! Wow! Then he plans to work this summer and thru out next school year since Master classes are at night. I'm hoping he can work in the heart of downtown Honolulu with me and we can go to work together each day ;)
Here is Chan driving in the car- notice our kitchen spoon down his cast. he uses it and its skinny handle to itch with! HA!

Wow- this was hard for him. To be in a wheel chair at Wal-mart. I'm sorry but I was BUSTING UP laughing.. I laughed so hard my laugh was contagious to many Hawaiians around us they started laughing too. Its just uncommon to see a 25 yr old in an automatic wheel-chair.

Thats right- Our car is parked in a handicap stall!
These spots have our names written all over it! We Love them!
And yes that's ours too! This handicap tag is wonderful. Its actually been so AWESOME to have! Especially in Hawaii parking is a joke everywhere you go! In one stop to the mall we moved our car 4 times just to be closer to each store we went in;) I told him next time we go to mall we should try all the handicap stalls ;)

Extras while in Geezy

We managed to go snowboarding...
I look gross...but the Virgin river flooded again.. It was way worse in person. Hard to believe it had tripled in width. Earlier this summer we were skim boarding here with my nieces and the river was way small and shallow. We got more rain and more water coming through St. Geo this year then we did in the 2005 flood but it wasn't as disastrous this yr because they made changes and fixes when they lost homes, boats, cars, parks, roads, etc in '05 so it wouldn't happen again

Don't be grossed out.....We always get to play at The Skin Institute (my moms spa) we do pedicures, facials, lasers... Treat each other! I worked Chan's skin over, my mom Derma-planed his face, then I fired up the laser and we did Laser hair removal all over.. on that unwanted hair! Here is a picture of Chandler's neck during the treatment. Don't worry the goop is just Conductor Gel. Every single red bump you see is a goner! It was a strong treatment. Poor guy was in pain during the zapping. I cannot believe his neck now. He barely grows a SINGLE hair on his neck, chest, hands, arms, and stomach! Its pretty cool! No more fred bumps from shaving or bumps from in grown hairs in the future!

Here is my stinking Cute niece Dawn who is an awesome dancer with her Uncle Zeke playing the XBox kinect Dance game! pretty fun!

A few extras while in Huntington!

Wow! What a difference from Hawaii! I don't mind it when I know I can go back to Paradise Warmth! Christmas was dry and no snow! But a few days later we woke up and we had 8+ inches! I didn't know how to act!
Chandler's parents backyard

Here is Tanner dancing to Michael Jackson
He is obsessed with MJ! He's so Dang cute!

And then we got Chan trying to do the Moon walk
with a broken foot!

New Years!

We celebrated New Years with Chandler's family at Aunt Gaylene's house. We had a wonderful time playing games with his cousins and Grandma and we ate lots of great food! Bring in the New Year 2011!
Its been an awesome one so far!

Oh my I am SO behind on blogging! I wasn't going to even do these posts because its been so ling since these events but for my own sake of my blog book I am going to hurry and get it up on my blog! Chandler and I had a GREAT Christmas! We went home to basically get another Doctors opinion on Chandler's broken foot but we played a lot with family too... Christmas Dinner at my house a few night before was so fun to be with our family and friends! Chandler and I in front of my mom's beautiful tree!Kenneth and I being silly!
LOOK HOW HANDSOME THESE MEN ARE in my family!!!!!! Jaret (Sierras hub), Chandler, Jerrel (my brother), and Zeke ( Desi's hub)

Flying to Vegas

So some of you might think I'm crazy but I had to blog this- the smallest/weirdest things amaze me..we flew to Vegas on the red-eye and we will ALWAYS fly the red-eye from now on! Hawaiian Air has new airbus' 330's that fly back and forth red-eye (until they get more planes) it was AWESOME! Its was Huge (more seats across, more leg room, more lavatories, WAY MORE TVS one for every seat)! You enter in the center of the plane from the terminal which makes sense so you don't have to walk past first class it just starts where normal coach seats are and you go Left if you are first class. The plane travels faster than the Boeing 767 so we got to Vegas in 4 HOURS! And it only cost us 350/person round trip! We were in Heaven! Some fun things that kept me awake ALL NIGHT- the screen has 1000's of things to do! showed durations and time Showed the earth on a curve and where the plane was played lots of trivia Played lots of games Watched the plane over the ocean Watched where the sun was on the earth Listened to a plethora of music- it was overwhelming It was so cool you could listen to any song and watch any music video and watch any movie, any tv show or series on this little TV. I was wanted to sleep on the flight..ya do you think that happened ..nope! The steward was so kind to us... Probably because Chandler was in a boot and on crutches but he hooked us up with unlimited drinks and our personal tvs for free! ( they cost 15 bucks for EVERYTHING- some things are complimentary) We were in Heaven! If anybody gets a chance to fly to HI from Vegas you got to get this plane!! We landed and Desi and Zeke had just gotten into Vegas as well from Vegas so it worked out that they could pick us up sense we booked our flight last min. We ran errands and shopped in Vegas.. I thought this building was crazy! Its a new Medical building for Brain Doctors. Kinda looks like a brain... We stopped at one of my favorite furniture stores West|ElmWe were tired!
