Trip to Cali

I am so bad lately! With TWO things: not taking any photos in Cali and not keeping up with Chandlers Bball season.
Chandler and I went to the Bay Area. He flew to San Francisco and I flew to San Jose on Feb 28th. Can I just say "IT FELT SO GOOD to be in Cali and on the mainland!" Chaminade had 3 games in Cali all in the San Fran area. I got to go stay with my dad while Chan was with the B-ball team.
I did not take out my camera all but ONCE :(
It rained pretty much everyday while we were there and it was cold! I didn't want to leave the house much to do anything other than his game nights.

Here is a pic of driving in the car with my dad on the freeway..there was two rainbows and it was so beautiful up against the the green LUSh hills! Ya doesn't show it much here...

One of the days before his games in San Fran my fam went to hang out a lil in downtown before. lets just say I LOVE San Francisco! I love the uniqueness of the people, I love the buildings, the colors, the streets, the shops, the town all together!
Took a few pics from inside the car of some cool architecture!

Had to get the leeeggs!

And of course Lombard street! We had to drive down it! I was in Awe! For some reason it was just so interesting to me! I loved it!

And then pretty much after this my camera died- So no good pics to really show Lombards steep turns!

Here is a good photo of it to give you an idea of what we drove down! I don't wanna know how much a home might coast on this street. Then again I wouldn't even want to live on this street. There are always tourists and a line to drive down it!
I had such a wonderful time with my dad. We had days and days of conversations. I miss it! Uh! Thanks dad for such a great stay! And of course Juanette for the A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. food!:)

Chaminade played Dominican, Academy of Arts, and Notre de Namur
We won two! We lost a good game to Dominican. It was so fun to play in Cali and to watch Chan play. Thanks to family and friends who all came to watch and support Chan!

The team than got home to Hawaii and went to Hilo to play Hilo University. (this game got cancelled the day we had the Tsunami warning) So Chandler got back to Hawaii and went straight to Hilo for this rescheduled game in Hilo. Got a big fat W! Winning the last game of their season was great! It was an Awesome winning game against them to end the season with!
One of Chan's best games with 14pts and some outstanding plays! He made the last 2 free throws to get them up by three points ...they came back and shot a three. Chan got the rebound back and so Chaminade won by three points- a pretty intense game!

I cant believe Chandler's first basketball season out here is OVER. :( IT FLEW BY! We only have one more year out here! And Chan's last year playing ball! OMG! Time has flown for us out here.
Now we are just pampering and taking care of Chan's body and letting it heal! Next season is going to be so fun. Cant wait for more games!

We went to a Luau at Hale Koa- it is always such a fun show with Glenn Medeiros!

Here is the fam with Euta (chan's mission companion)

Glenn Medeiros- He wrote the song, Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You! I couldn't believe it! I listened to that song as a child! I just Love it!

He is still young so he was way young when that song came out. I'm sure all of you recognize it!

Maunawili falls

So when I visited Hawaii about 5 yrs ago I was taken on this hike that I would never forget! I have been wanting to go back and do it ever since we got moved out here! Its called Maunawili (mona-whilly) falls. It is so fun and when you get to the end there are pools of water and a waterfall that you can jump from. It can be very muddy if it has rained recently and you have to cross through the river maybe 5 times.

here is Meag and Jerrel

We are half way to the top and the scenery is beautiful!

It was crowed at the top because it was President's Day and everyone else on the island had the same idea to go hiking as we did. Here is the end of the hike at the waterfall.

Chan and I resting

My bro and I- we all brought our swimsuits but the water was pretty cool. I had my heart set on jumping as well as my bro but the water temp changed my mind. ( I jumped 5 yrs ago with all my friends, but I think as I have gotten older I have become ALOT more cautious with things!)

We enjoyed watching other people jump one by one! Or two by two!

Chan's birthday Dinner

We had a great dinner to celebrate Chandler's 24th Valentines Day birthday!
We all gathered at PF Changs

Meag got him the surprise birthday song from the waitors and free choco cake!

Muah!

Tortugas

Uh! I am so behind blogging! But when I get on a roll I blog!

When Chandler's family came out to visit for a week a few weeks ago we did some fun things! We spent the day out to Ko Olina! We have some friends that live at Ko Olina as well and they were at this private cove at the beach already and they told us to hurry down to the beach because they had 5 turtle just hanging out...

We got there and all of us darted into the water first thing! Here is Meagan feeding one some (seaweed lettuce)

It really was the neatest site to see. They are so calm and relaxed. They are not even scared of you at all. They would eat right out of our hands. They would swim right to us, swim into us- or gently just graze their whole bodies against us in the water.

My brother was out the same time for another golf tournament so he came along- We all thought it WAS PRETTY COOL!

Meagan trying to get some kisses!

The water is so pleasantly warm! Sometimes Chan and I still say to one another "we live here!" "we live in Hawaii!"

The families FIRST time to Hawaii!

A great day with 5IVE large tortugas!

HUGE pancakes

Chandler parents finally came out for a visit! (More post to come)! While they were here after one of Chan's games also Madi-gras (sp?) night we went out to eat at a place called macaroni24-7 or something.. I was feeling like some breakfast...so I ordered pancakes...
THEY WERE HUGE! In the pictures you cant really tell that they are huge but they were! They were wider than my body!
I really could not believe it. My jaw dropped when she brought them out. I thought it was a joke. Afterwards I found out that this restaurant is known for their GIGANTIC famous pancakes!

here is a pic to compare it to my hand too!

Oh MY...

Goodness! It has been so long since I have blogged! I will try to do a blog a night to get caught up! We have been busy busy!

Here are a few pictures of when Chandler played against Dixie here at home in PINK jerseys! They had breast cancer awareness week. So coach made the boys wear pink! It actually was really cool!Chan is number 1 in the picture!
