Hiking

My friend Brooke and her mom are here visiting from St George. They have gotten me out of the house and finally on some hikes Ive been wanting to do since Ive lived here. Chan and I just never have the time during the day to go together. The first hike we did was Koko Head. It is the same hard one Chan's bball team has to do in pre-season. From this 1st pic it doesnt look bad. But the stairs all the way up were insane!
Here is goin up.....

There is Brooke standing at...almost the top

I didnt take many pictures of the view...but it was gorgeous from way up high...it feels like you are hiking in the hot desert on the way up but then when you get to the top its very windy and kinda cold cuz the trade winds are so strong!

this picture is taken looking down the steps I came up.... this is just half way...or less than half...

Brooke a txtin!

This is Brooke and I the next day at the top of Diamond Head over looking Waikiki

Chandler and I out at Ko'Olina having dinner with some friends! Always an amazing sunset..

Brooke and I again at Ko'Olina (all these photos were taken with my cell phone)

Chan and I love it! I just get too cold too easy! But our friends' Brint and Brea have surf boards and they have taken us out a few times! I still don't have a camera so these pictures are to Brea's credit! I didn't end up going this day I think I was at work... Chan is getting good and he got up on his first wave like me!!!!

This is just in Waikiki...Chan chillin on the board

Chan's head got cut off but here he is paddling with the wave

we B Boring... But happy!

Oh my Goodness! It has been a crazy month! Summer has been great so far! Chandler has a summer job doing construction out here in Hawaii... I am still kicking away at the spa keeping steadily busy. Chandler is taking some online summer classes to be on schedule for graduating. We are finally settled in our new apt. Between the move, working, Chan's homework, his basketball nights at the church and him squeezing weights in to keep his endurance and strength up for the season, and our church calling we barley have time to eat and sleep. Speaking of eating... with our FULL kitchen at our new apt I have been fully enjoying myself. I have been cooking a lot lately and its just so nice to have a kitchen and eat at home! Thanks every body who has given me awesome recipes! I know cooking will be my full time hobby! Its just fun and rewarding when I have a hubby that helps and loves eating my food as well!

I painted(well and Brea helped) our apt and got some new furniture so this apt can feel as homey as possible for us while we stay in Hawaii (maybe Ill get pictures up) OH and my camera broke ;( so we will be making a purchase real soon for a new one! I am going insane without one kinda partly the reason why I haven't blogged! Well most of you know me and know that I usually don't blog without photos ha!

But any who for the most part Chan and I still absolutely adore each other and are still having the time of our lives out here on the Islands. Loving being out here together alone and doing just what we want each night with OUR time and Our life as Us TWO together! lol! We miss our family dearly and we are planning a trip home this summer to Utah.

I can't believe its been ONE YEAR...1 Awesome yr!

(a little late-but we have been extremely busy)

So I have TONZ of pictures on this post! And you have all seen them before but I was enjoying looking at them and remembering this perfect day! OMG! I seriously cant believe Chandler and I have been married for a YEAR! This year has flown by. it has been ONE awesome year. Chandler and I have had so much fun together. We are so in love... everyday is a new, fun, and eventful day together- just like when we first met. We are having a blast out here in Hawaii! Looking back on these photos of our wedding day and watching our wedding video brings back so much emotion. I just wish so bad that we could have that day all over again. The temple ceremony, luncheon, ring ceremony, reception, and everything else was all too perfect! Chandler and I didnt do too much this year for a first anniversary. He and I were right in the middle of moving to a bigger and better apartment here in Hawaii so on May 9th we just went and spent quality time together, went to the most gorgeous private beach, and went out to one of my favorites restaurants ROY'S! We are going to try to plan a little trip to an outer island when we are settled in our new apt and have money again ;)(doesn't this look like a painting?)

our dessert! mmm

A few updates!

Chandler and I have been pretty busy lately! Chandler got invited to play with the Chaminade Golf team as they needed an extra team player. He was so excited that they wanted him to be a part of the team. For a week straight he would say to me everyday a few times a day "Lier, I am so excited to play golf!" He's so cute! His Basketball coaches supported him to play as well. His teachers and Bball coaches have worked with him and with his golf practice and bball practice. The Golf coach hooked him up with some clubs and a few things to get him suited for the matches and tournaments! He has had a blast playing out here in Hawaii. The courses here are a lot narrower and full of humps and hills so its been a fun challenge for Chan to take on! As for now the tournaments are over so it didn't last too long. So other than Chandler's golf, bball practice school, and my work we have been doing great.

We are debating on our options for the summer months. We were thinking about going home to Utah for a few months to work and possibly save money. But we are leaning more towards staying Hawaii. It has become more of a hassle in trying to find a place to put our belongings and our car. Our life is here right now and we are FINALLY settled in and know the lay of the land here and we are happy in our ward and we have met some wonderful friends that we go out with weekly! It is so fun here. I really am growing to love it here. Meeting people and friends we enjoy being around has been the best part! I still say to myself "I live here!?" When we take a ride in the car and I look out the window at stunning views and also do fun things like this at the most beautiful beaches on Oahu...

A lil Beach volleyball! Life doesn't get any better than great music, great people, a great place to live and a great game of Vball! :)

And speaking of friends- My beautiful friend Brea in my ward took me SURFING! It was my first time ever. I was so nervous and anxious at the same time to hit the waves all day! We headed out at 6pm after work one day. It was a lil chilly but so worth it! Brea got me HOOKED! Oh no! A purchase might need to be made soon so she and I can go more this summer! Brea had me practice paddle catching some lil waves in the water and then within a few minutes I GOT UP and rode my first wave for a good length! It really was such an adrenaline rush- I don't think I realized I was riding the surf board until after I fell! The best part is watching the sunset just laying on the board out in the middle of the Ocean!

So we are searching for a new apartment and that process can always be hectic! With still being in limbo on what to do this summer we are still looking to be prepared. We are going to go to a few showings tomorrow- Apartments out here are so expensive! And Ghetto! So we will see what these next few months will hold.

Chandler and I now have Skype! Is it ridiculous that I am addicted to it? lol! It is my new favorite thing. Its just been so fun to talk to my sister's, nieces, and our parents! Oh and my good friend in Australia! Technology now-a-days is just amazing! I love it!

We are coming up on our ONE YEAR anniversary and time has flown by! Such a fun year! Chandler and I decided that it would be fun to take turns every other year planning out our anniversary for each other so that we can each surprise each other with something fun. We can both have fun being surprised and both have fun getting a chance to plan something. He said this yr is MY YEAR! HA!! So we will see what happens!

We are having a blast teaching our 7 year old of the ward. Last week I had all 8 of them by myself as Chan couldn't be there with me and the lesson was on 'Dare To Choose The Right'. It is always such a joy to meet with these little ones each week. It is honestly my favorite thing! I look forward and can't wait til Sundays!

I hope everyone else is happy and things are going as great as they are for Chandler and I. I love reading each and everyone of your Blogs very regularly! Keep up the posts! I enjoy them all! Have a great week!

Water Park

A few people from Chaminade got together to have a day at the water park! I have been wanting to go to Wet N Wild ever since we moved here! Finally we went! It was alot of fun! The park was pretty dead so we didn't have lines to wait in!

I got SO wet on this tube slide! My favorite for sure!
And then this slide was my next fav! You had these mats that you went down on your tummy and elbows! We would race it 4's!
This is Dejan- One of Chan's teammates he is from Serbia

Here is Chan and a few people coming down!

My Channy struttin his cute self ;)

The wave pool produced the biggest waves I have ever seen at any wave pool- The park alternates the wave sessions with tubes then with boogie boards! Kinda cool!

Awe! Cute! I love it!

Shane's trying to attempt the hula hoop!
