Being craziez

So one evening Chandler got a wild hair to all take a walk on the beach and to catch beach crabs...We get down to the beach and we cant see any crabs crawling anywhere.. So now we have to entertain ourselves... I thought this photo was funny I didn't know Chan's foot was there but you can hardly see him because his black shorts...
Being a cheerleader This shot was funny I look like I was placed in this photo..They were chatting away and I ran and jumped off Chan's Shoulder..without a flinch they just keep chatting away as me and Meag were taking pix of ourselves Meagan Strutting her thang!I was trying to do the splits..maybe Ill work on that a Lil more I like how the water sprayed up behind me... Look at that air WOMAN!!!!! Great pose! Meagan and Kaylene jumping around! Resting after jumping around ;) Muah..Love him!!!! Okay we are done being dorks for now..Until next time..PEACE out!!!

Snorklin.. Haunama Bay

Unfortunately I didn't get to go because I had to work but that's okay I'm a wuss the water is too cold..haha like 77* cold okay okay not bad but still... the fam went snorkling at Haunama bay..Its just a given you have to go see the fish when you come to Hawaii!

Handsome!
Beautimous!

Thanksgiving

it had been a LONG EARLY morning from flying back to Oahu from Maui.. We got right home and had to put the bird in...This was my first Thanksgiving turkey to cook..So with the help of Meagan and Kaylene it was GREAT! Here I am cleaning the bird out..or maybe I was shoving something in..who knows but Im not sure how I felt about it.... Working in my tiny little itty bitty kitchen :) I found a yummy recipe on line for a rosemary roasted honey glaze..it had great reviews so we tried it... It turned out awesome! Better than I thought..Whats all this talk about :good Luck Cooking your first Turkey?" it was a piece of cake! ;) Chan got home from Maui an hour after us..Finally I have him all to myself after a BUSY week in Maui... I have no decent pic of all of us:( Our apt is so tiny but all that mattered was that we had great food on our plates and family to be with and to shared our thanks! Thank you so so much Meag and Kaylene for doing dinner thank you for who you both are! I was so glad we could all be together! And thank you Chandler and Dennis for doing all the dishes and putting all the food away!

EarthQuake rattled us all in Maui

So one evening in Maui around 6:30 we were all sitting around the living room of our condo on the 12TH FLOOR just hanging out chatting and all of a sudden the sliding doors start rattling and I instantly thought for a split second "Geez those are some strong trade winds coming thru" then when it didn't stop I starting freaking out knowing we were all experiencing this earthquake and we were all caught wide eyed starring at one another...then it REALLY didn't stop...Our whole hotel was SHAKING- the chandelier, curtains, fridge, TV, closet doors were just a rattling away! In the moment it was quite crazy and when it finally stopped we were all a little shocked. I froze up I literally could not move. We checked instantly on the Internet and it was a 4.7 magnitude..it felt HUGE and went on FOREVER!
Here is our hotel..being at the top I felt like it was worse. I felt like it was going to collapse below us..every thought possible went thru my head about this building tumbling below me.

Here is the courtyard looking down... the whole islands felt it.... It just is kind of rare to have earthquakes in Hawaii.. I mean ya they happen but most people in Hawaii have never even felt one before.. They aren't that common here so totally unexpected..
The epic center was just off the coast of Makena.. the big red square on the map
Chandler was with the team watching film at the time in their hotel and Kentucky was playing against Washington at the Civic center and I guess it shook the gym, the players and media tables up pretty well even in that roudy rambling rattling gym as is!
Pretty crazy.. I'm not going to lie I didn't like the feeling at all! Now that I think back it was pretty cool haha ...I was a little distraught the rest of the evening...too, because I felt two more aftershocks that were in the 3's.

The BIG WIN in MAUI

The second game in Maui Chaminade played against Wichita State- Again the boys played so hard and played a close game. I felt like this year the boys could have totally won ALL THREE games because Chaminade has some great talent... All my pictures are not really in order.. But this is Chandler sitting on the bench supporting his team.. And you can see the ESPN camera zoomed in on coach during a time-out

This was when Chan started out playing against Wichita State and hit a three early on and after 5 min he pulled himself out of the game..he was hurting too bad... Chandler getting his foot untapped ;(
The third day Chaminade played against Oklahoma- which is kind of funny... Nick Thompson from his CEU years plays for Oklahoma now so it was interesting to see Chan's team play against him. Here is Meag, Gayna, and Me at the Oklahoma game
AND WE WON THIS GAME! IT WAS INSANE IN THAT GYM! For Chaminade to win this was a huge deal! After 28 years(about) of the Maui Invitational being held Chaminade has only had 5 wins total. This year they made it 6 GAMES! That made HISTORY!
Here the team is coming out of the locker room!

The family ;) AWESOME Support group!
Chandler and I

Awe cute! ;) It felt so good to watch Chaminade beat a team at the Maui Invitational- I just wish Chan could have been apart of playing.

This was us hanging in the stands during one of the games...

Maui Tournament Outcome

Phew! I feel like I have to take a deep breath every time before I blog because I feel like I have so much to say and post! But then when it comes down to it..its probably nothing much..We just have been GO GO GO busy so it feels like tonz!

FIRST things First Chandler's Games in Maui....
So... We get to Maui on Saturday Morning... Chandler is with the team practicing getting pumped and ready for the biggest tournament of Chandler's Basketball career and Chan's foot starts KILLING him. The teams trainer, Cortney took him to the hospital in Maui and like the 5th Dr. he saw did an MRI and basically told him he had a stress fracture. Chandler was in a lot of pain and was TORN with the thought of not being able to play. In the year and a half Chan and I have been married I have never seen him so devastated and even then he is really good about keeping his emotions to himself and not letting his sadness effect others around him or not wanting others to feel sorry for him(poor guy ;( ). He called me with the most solemn voice after he left the Dr. In Maui and just said he doesn't even know what to do with himself and that he just needed time to think to himself. One of the Biggest reasons in why we chose to come to Hawaii was because Chaminade University Hosts the Maui Invitational..for TWO yrs Chan was looking forward to playing against these huge D1 schools on ESPN. He went through the rest of the weekend telling himself to be okay with not playing (as team captain-in his senior yr that's hard to tell yourself). We went to a players party where all the schools come together for the big Xbox party and they have huge screens and tvs set up for the teams to play XBOX BBall as THEMSELVES the teams get actual xbox games created for them of their own teams. We eat yummy food meet famous people in the NBA and ESPN world and the teams are treated like gold. That was so fun...
Monday rolls around and its near game time- an hour before the game Chandler decides to tape up his foot really good, take a few light pain killer pills and play against Michigan State! I wasn't happy about it at all because of possibly worsening the damage...honestly almost sick to my stomach... but I wanted to watch him play just as bad as he wanted to play. The game was AWESOME, INTENSE, and crazy! Chaminade played so great! We could have had a win! We were ahead for a decent portion of the game. Chandler played pretty much the same minutes he always does. He had two HUGE DEEP three pointers at the end of the game that brought our score closer. Unfortunately we lost 74 to 82. (sorry I don't have stats). Chandler said it was worth every minute of it because he had a blast playing! He was in pain for sure by the end!

Chandler and Stevo (captains) in center court meeting the refs and gettin ready to go!
Team warming up Chandler shootin a beautiful 3!
Warm-ups

Getting ready for the game to start takin photos with Hawaiian Santa
Me, Gayna from Australia (Dom's GF- A player on Chan's team), Meag, Kaylene and DennisChan at the line

After the game...we were all VERY HAPPY
