Baby Shower and Easter

A friend of mine in the ward is due with her first baby in a few days.. Some friends and I threw together a shower for her last Saturday Morning. I made a bouquet of diapers in a vase for her- just a bag of diapers are boring. ;)
Since we held it in the morning we did all breakfast foods! It was yummy! I made a crockpot breakfast casserole, german cakes with strawberry topping, cranberry orange muffins, a yummy marshmallow puff fruit dip, and orange julius'! Thanks to Ellen, she brought Yummy Scones! And Anne and Kellie for preparing everything!
So good! Kellie made all the flower balloon decorations! Aren't they cute!?
Thank you to everyone who came and for who helped out!
Later that day it was onto the next party. We had a pot luck gathering at the park with some friends in the ward..Fun deviled eggs to share for the obvious occasion!
Here are all the cute kiddos...Lets see if I can name them all...L to R
Reese, Bethany, Abigail, Addison, Anna, Mason, Kingston, Teague, and Isaak! Had an Easter Egg hunt-always entertaining!
Just relaxing holding new baby Brian. I am content holding a baby, then Im good for a few months. Wow! Im sorry but Im totally enjoying my no kid life! ;) Chan and I were the only ones there without kids! Its great!
BUT-I love doing little fun things for Chandler, it makes me so happy and I get so much joy out of doing little surprises on holidays. When Chan fell asleep I wrote on every mirror and glass in the house with crystalizing markers and wrote little Easter notes, and scriptures.

Then I had paper eggs on the walls that had more love notes and sayings on them thru out the house... one paper egg said he had to find 36 sports eggs hidden... It was funny watching him find them all.
Then I woke up a little after him that morning and the Easter bunny he had put out some yummies for me. The sweetest and nicest card, a new beach chair and towel, a rash guard shirt for surfing or just snorkeling, an air soft gun-(inside joke, well since we all know I'm a good shot there are these ANNOYING doves that coo every morning and wake me up because there are 100's of them and they are so loud-every morning, all day, all the time...well I kept jokingly and seriously telling Chan to bring home a gone for like a week so I could shoot the birds. So he really got me a gun!) It was funny! I already hit one out of a tree with a basketball before I got the gun and luckily he's never come back. For some reason I have no heart or sympathy for these birds. I usually am so soft and sensitive with creatures, even telling Chan to leave the fish, birds, crabs, bugs, alone when we are at the beach..poor things! Anywho and I got spoiled. He gone and done good! ;)
On a happier more loving note... ;) Easter Sunday- We had a FANTASTIC Sacrament meeting, maybe one of the best since we have lived here. Every talk was amazing, so meaningful, they all really touched home for me, and made me weep. The hymns we sang invited the spirit even more and I couldn't even sing a long I was so choked up. Such a refreshing Sunday! Definitely and always needed! I am so grateful for my knowledge and faith in the gospel. I am continually humbled each year with a growing testimony of my Savior. What another great day it was to help me reflect and emphasize on Christs' sacrifices and resurrection. Also for my husband for truly being an amazing teacher, example, and constant loving companion towards me. We sure are blessed beyond belief!

Happy Easter!
